Dia dhuit!

We've just confirmed a show for August 20th at Clays Park. Emerald Frequency and the very cool band Witch Hazel* will be the great tunes there that day. Past events at Clays Park include the Yankee Peddler Festival and the Rock N Resort Festival. (Which includes such artists as Joan Jett & The Blackhearts, Ian Hunter, Grand Funk Railroad, War, The Guess Who and the local band Moshambo.)

Witch Hazel is actually a new project. It is basically William (you know: the other half of Emerald Frequency), Chris "Bonedaddy" Koppelberger and Denice (AKA "Neecy") Brown. Very funky psychedelic soul tunes. I highly recommend that you check them out: they'll blow you away!

In other news, William (aka "dad") and i are getting ready to leave for North Carolina on Monday. Yes, we're going down there for Transformus, which, as you may know, Emerald Frequency will be performing at this year. Should be an amazing experience!
Also, as previously mentioned, we will be a part of a "theme camp" there. Should you be lucky enough to come to Transformus as well, you are welcome to come and jam with us and many other goos musicians. Yes, that's what we'll pretty much be doing all weekend. Oooh my fingers are already feeling tired, just by the thought of it! But hey, it's music. You musicians know what i mean: I'm playing all weekend, happily, whether it kills me or not!

Just one other note: don't forget that the Irish festival in Berea is coming up. We'll be out of town for that one (sadly), but make sure to see all the great bands, especially the Fenians and Cleveland's very cool celtic rock band Brace Yourself Bridget. (And support local music by buying their CD after their performance: it's brilliant!)

Sláinte,
~Starlie~
